For a state busy collecting accolades for various achievements, Unemployment is a hindrance in its path of development.Due to scarcity of Jobs in Himachal, the residents are forced to leave and move to new areas in search of lucrative careers.There are various sectors which still remain unexplored.

Unemployment - A cause of concern

Unemployment has been a matter of discussion for a long time now. When the youth from rural areas migrate to big cities for better job opportunities, the state loses valuable resources which are not easily recovered.Himachal Pradesh takes pride in a high literacy rate but it is not feasible for the Government to provide jobs to everyone in the Government sector alone. Due to high level of stability and profound security, Government jobs are preferred the most by people.But recently the state has witnessed remarkable increase in Jobs in Dharamshala, Shimla and other budding cities.

Exploring the Unexplored

After all this time, Private sector still remains the less explored area in the state. With the emergence of IT sector and subsequent increase in awareness among the youth, the scope in Digital Marketing, Graphic Designing and Web Development has widened a lot.Introduction of vocational courses at school and college level has helped in enriching the minds of this generation. It becomes absolutely necessary to create ample opportunities for the youth, here in their own state.The advancement in technology aids the introduction of new options.

Although the unemployment in the state is on the high side but it is still possible to mend it if it becomes our top priority. Creating awareness about the new possibilities that can be explored is one step further towards a better version of Himachal. While the youth scout for better Jobs, The Government should ensure that they leave no stone unturned.
